Judging
Contest judges will use the following contest rubric for scoring each entry. The rubric
lists the criteria for judging and the point value for each element.
2026 GoVote Poster Contest & Scholarship Judging Rubric
The GoVote Poster & Scholarship submission will be judged on three elements:
- Art Creation- a visual image that reflects the need to vote in elections
- Civic Participation-a message encouraging the local community to vote
- Synergy- a submission that communicates a strong relationship between the visual art and the message about the need to vote.
The rubric below lists these three criteria and possible points that the judges will award to select winners of the League of Women Voters of Greater Grand Rapids Area scholarships.
| Poster Entry #: | Points Assigned | Possible Points |
| ART CREATION Apply skills and knowledge to create in the arts. Example:The previous 2024 GoVote poster winner, Ruqayah, communicated her visual solution through her GoVote Poster submission. | ||

| ARTISTRY– Submission stands out as a work of art | 10 | |
| CONSISTENCY– Contains artistic elements such as color, font, font size, placement and alignment work together. | 15 | |
| CIVIC PARTICIPATION IN VOTING Members of American society demonstrate their responsibilities by actively participating in civic life, specifically through voting in elections.
